What is the difference between waxes and why choose waxing over shaving?

Waxing is a form of semi-permanent hair removal which removes the hair from the root. New hair will not grow back in the previously waxed area for four to six weeks, although in some cases people will see a re growth in only a week due to some of their hair being on a different growth cycle. This is why we recommend getting into a good waxing routine as then then cycle is prolonged more each time. When you shave your legs, you are literally removing what is on the surface and therefore you can expect to feel the hair coming back through after a couple of days, for some the following day!
Strip waxing is used with a warm wax that is thinly applied over the skin. We then apply a paper strip which is pressed firmly on to the area being waxed, adhering the strip to the wax that is placed on the skin. With a quick removal by pulling the strip off against the direction of hair growth, you are left with a smooth, hairless area.
For some treatment areas that can have a slightly higher level of discomfort we recommend Wax:One Hot wax! This has been found to be a more comfortable and efficient wax that is especially good for intimate waxing. For some intimate waxing can be a daunting thought and embarrassing, but you can be assured you are in safe hands with Carla who has a lot of experience and is highly professional

What do I wear to a massage or body treatment?

You need to be comfortable! Wear something loose to your appointment so that when you leave, any oils or creams that are still on your skin doesn’t stick to your clothes too much.
You need to wear underwear that’s also comfortable, and have in mind that it may get oils or cream on, although we do our upmost to avoid this.
Also a good note is to not come in after you have washed your hair, this is because you’ll be having a head massage which is amazing but will make your scalp/hair oily!

What’s the difference between HD Brows and having a normal eyebrow tint and wax?

So much!!! If you have a nice natural full brow, then to be honest you could get away with a normal tint and wax, but have in mind that the tint will only last 3-4 weeks before you realistically would need it re-doing.
HD Brows is a bespoke service and it is a treatment in its self! It takes around 30-45mins to be done. There is several stages to the treatment which include….
Facial analysis, measuring, tinting, waxing, threading, plucking and then finishing!
HD tint is a lot stronger then ‘normal’ tint and can last for 6-8wks, it picks up finer hair, which then enables us to create a better brow shape that is correct for you!
It is actually a relaxing treatment and one that once you have had it, you’ll want again as the difference can be amazing!

How long does Shellac last?

Shellac is designed to last for 14 days but with care we have clients that can push that to 21 days. Its different for everyone, but if you take onboard our after care advise, your nails will stay pretty for longer!
How long do lash extensions last?

The honest answer is that it varies for every individual. For some clients, lashes can be put on and then they look after them so well, they can stretch their maintenance out to a monthly appointment.
For most the maintenance is every 2-3wks. That way you can keep them looking full whilst ensuring that your own natural lashes are looked after too.
We do not recommend going over 4wks for maintenance and we will go through all the after-care with you at your appointment.
